Peter allowed me to make a lot of adjustments. Being a Maori, in the scene where I’m beating up Thorin, I rocked back on my warg, raised my eyes up and did this look that in the Maori world is called ‘pukana’. You show the enemy the whites of your eyes. It just happened instinctively and at the end of the take I said, “Peter, I think I pukana-ed!” I didn’t think he’d use it, but sure enough, when I went down to the premiere with a bunch of Maori friends, there it was.”

Just dropped a lot more money than I was hoping on a bed, but it is a real actual goddamned bed with a mattress and springs and a warranty and everything and will solidify my intentions not to move again for a long time. No more crappy disposable furniture. ;_;

Salesman was supercool at least, I was the only one in the store and we chatted for like half an hour swapping adventure stories about living in west LA. X3

No bodies this last time but they said I got to keep “everything contained therein!” which included their display cases of human skulls and collection of bloody rags.

The best part is how it will never play homey-town music while you’re in there either, it keeps the creepy dungeon music. -_-

Discovered while at new house taking measurements yesterday; backyard lawn is irredeemably loaded with dandelions, owing to next door neighbors’ neglected backyard being one giant dandelion field.

Was going to sigh about endless excessive weeding but then remembered they are about as nutritious as spinach and full of iron and protien and are delicious in salads and smoothies.

Fuck yeah dandelions. :D

The Fish Bowl

Ingredients
½ cup Nerds candy
½ gallon goldfish bowl
5 oz. vodka
5 oz. Malibu rum
3 oz. blue Curacao
6 oz. sweet-and-sour mix
16 oz. pineapple juice
16 oz. Sprite
3 slices each: lemon, lime, orange
4 Swedish gummy fish

Sprinkle Nerds on bottom of bowl as “gravel.” Fill bowl with ice. Add remaining ingredients. Serve with 18-inch party straws.

One of my absolute favorite drinks. My husband always makes me one for my birthday!!

Did you move yet? If not then when, and also where?!

I am already renting the new place (its in east bellevue hey lets go to sushi maru this week :DD) but had a week and a half of solid school/work so I have not yet started moving (rrrrrarrghgh I want my private back porch and sunny windows). I finally get a day off tomorrow to start packing and moving stuff. I want to get done in the next 3 weeks before next school term starts buuuuuuuut

Okay so storytime, no matter how many times you have to resign a thirty page leasing agreement, read it over and over… all this time I thought I had signed a nine month lease and planned accordingly, but it turns out the third iteration of the agreement was written by an office assistant who can’t do basic calendar math and wrote the move-out date as ten months away instead of nine. I did not catch it at the time, weary as I was from resigning so many times, so I started renting a new place May 1st and now I have to pay double rent two months in a row welp there goes tuition money. -_-*** That does give me more time to move but I… didn’t really want or need that extra time.

All I can do is learn from my stupidity and reason that if I had known and waited another month I would not have gotten the new place I did and probably would have ended up in another apartment. And eat cheaper.

Also the water heater in my current place exploded while I was at school on thursday so its now even danker and kinda smelly in here. (No water damage in my actual unit thank god BECAUSE SAID WATER HEATER IS ACROSS THE HALL FROM MY COMPUTER.
