I guess maybe I’d decided that Falmer presence in Skyrim predating Nord presence made Gelebor the true High King? Thus solving all the problems forever?
Meanwhile in Solstheim
Miraak just kidnapped Onmund.
This was not a quest event, I just went to sleep in an inn and awoke with no Lover’s Comfort buff and he was nowhere. Ran all over Raven Rock looking for him, then all over Solstheim. Got near one of the temple stone things and he came running like he’d just broken out of Miraak’s mind-slave spell because I was there.
Sobbing.
(Assuming a bug, or maybe it is supposed to happen, last time I went to bed I woke up brain-slaved at a temple but this time he just took my husband?)
Miraak, before I thought you were just a hilarious Witch King riding a Fell Beast, but now its personal.

I tried a gender/race based scaling mod in Skyrim that was supposed to change me and all NPCs in the game (make Nords bigger, elves smaller, Argonians slightly bigger but not as big as Nords, etc.) Except when I loaded it it only worked on the player character, so Artie, scaled up by an extra tenth, towered over everyone including Nords and other Argonians.
It’s my headcanon that he’s smallish and lightly-built, so I uninstalled it, but it didn’t undo the height change.
So today I did my very first tiny little hack. X3
player.modscale -0.2
(To reverse the mod and then scale him down another tenth to the height I imagine him. :D If the player character is six feet tall by default, the mod would have made him about 6’7”, and now he’s about 5’5” where I want him. ^^)
This is the very beginning and very end of my modding skills. I can’t even figure out how to scale up Onmund by another 0.05. XD
Look I went through art school being told that Artists Don’t Code so this is a big deal okay.
For anyone keeping score, it was Cute Onmund Doodles night.^^
(For those not keeping score, Onmund’s voice actor misread “Psijic” as “Physic” in one line and unfortunately it is the only line he will say through that entire quest. X33)

The other reason I stopped playing Skyrim (besides the bugs and the time-sink) was that Artie got werewolf’d, which disables all rest bonuses including Homecooked Meals from your spouse.
For some reason that totally bummed me out, like it signified a decline in their relationship or something. ;-; Onmund I miss your delicious pies.
That’s strange. My Khajiit character is a werewolf (catwolf?) who married Scouts Many Marshes, the Argonian from the Windhelm docks. While I don’t get the sleep bonuses, obviously, I do still get the tasty homecooked stews once a day like normal. Maybe it’s to do with if you contract lycanthropy AFTER you get married?
Oh huh! It might also just be a bug; even after I cured the lycanthropy and got my rest bonuses back, the Homecooked Meals didn’t return. ;_; Guess the honeymoon’s over… Onmund also has an encumberment bug where he can’t carry anything at all, I can’t even put the shoes I stole from him back on.
Need headcanon bug justification; … um… maybe he’s pregnant? XDD He’s already barefoot.
